An update to the iRIS to OnCore integration live June 25, 2025
What is changing?
- The iRIS to OnCore integration will now include Screening Consent as a consent type
- This change will impact UCSF IRB submissions that have been given a final review outcome in iRIS occurring after the go-live date.
- This change will not impact historical details.
- This integration will reduce duplicative work and improve data quality. Study teams are still responsible to verify and maintain accurate protocol statuses, IRB reviews, and consent form details in OnCore. This integration will support compliant research participant enrollment and tracking on current IRB approved protocol and consent versions.
Notes of importance:
- This integration supports UCSF’s ongoing commitment of research compliance.
- This integration does not impact IRB reviews performed outside of UCSF, such as reliance, and external IRBs will have limited integration, the system will pull in the IRB submission details from iRIS only.
- Historical information entered in OnCore will remain.
