What's Included?
The research fee schedule includes hospital billing (HB) and professional billing (PB) rates for commonly research-billed patient care procedures.
Rates are provided for:
• Non-Profit / Government sponsored research
• Industry / Non-Government sponsored research
• UCSF East Bay locations
• UCSF West Bay locations
UCSF affiliate sites: Research Fee Schedule rates do not apply to UCSF affiliate sites.
Some procedures only have a hospital charge, while others will have both a hospital charge and a professional charge. When both apply, the combined charges represent the total price for the procedure. Professional charges are the same for East Bay and West Bay. Hospital charges vary by location because of differences in facility/hospital rates.
